Students interested in business, but wanting preparation to enter the very specialized field of healthcare, are best served by a baccalaureate degree in Health Services. Healthcare is expected to continue to be one of the fastest growing fields through 2014.

This degree will introduce you to the fast paced, ever changing field of healthcare. You’ll analyze the current status of the industry and look at innovative new technologies and strategies that will impact the health of the community. You’ll also be aware of the constraints that financial pressure and regulations place on the industry. Special emphasis is placed on leadership, ethical analysis, and service.

The Curriculum:

  • General Education Core: Challenges and broadens the knowledge of students in a variety of disciplines.

  • Management Core: Builds a foundation of concepts in accounting, business management, business law, human resource management and industrial relations.

  • Professional Health Core: Prepares the students in organizational management, regulations, resident care management, environmental management and financial management as related to the health care industry.

  • Electives: Offers choices to students as they pursue special areas of interest.
